This site is being developed to give the trailer sailors living around the Florida "Big Bend" area the opportunity to share my love of sailing and interest in sailboats. To My knowledge there isn't any organized groups of trailer sailors in our area where we can share local sailing venues, get help with finding a launch ramp, or find other sailboats to sail with. Before I go on, let me take the opportunity to make a "big statement". This is NOT a club. It is merely a site were you can share local information on sailing the big bend area. You will be able to announce your next up and coming sails and invite others to join you. If you are planning some upgrades or repairs, you will be able to ask for opinions from others on the how-to's or where to find needed parts here locally. I have a picture gallery where I can post some of your favorite sailing pictures. If you have any pictures you would like to share, please e-mail them to me and I'll put them in a folder for you. This site is still under construction and I know there will be a few bugs, so please e-mail me if you encounter any problems. The "Events" section is where we can keep track of the scheduled events both in our area and within driving distance from the big bend area. So, come on and join in and make the BBTSS a success. I know there are a bunch of trailer sailors in the big bend area because I've seen them at the boat ramps at St. Marks, sailing out at Shell Point and trailering on our highways. |
